Get quick answers about your bank balance, profit and balance sheet, VAT, unpaid invoices, bills to pay and what’s changed since last week.

Drop up to 10 files at once into the upload box in the chat. Your documents are read and booked (currently in Claude only).

When something on a document is unclear, you get a question in the chat on a card showing the document. One tap answers it: the document is booked and you see the entry number. If the suggested contact is wrong, type the right one instead.
“What does SoloDesk need from me?”
Describe the work you’re billing for. SoloDesk adds the VAT and drafts the quote or invoice for you. If an invoice is overdue, ask your AI assistant to prepare a reminder. You review every draft and can change it with a sentence, delete it, download it as a PDF or confirm to send it.
“Invoice Müller for 6 hours at CHF 150 an hour.”

Pull up any clause, date or amount from your stored documents. Just type what you want to know in the chat, and SoloDesk finds it in your contracts, insurance letters or tax letters.

Put one quarter next to another and see what changed. When you want to know why a certain amount was booked to a particular account, just ask, and you’ll get a clear explanation based on your own books.

Two-minute set-up
You need a SoloDesk account on the Mid or Full plan, or a free trial, and a Claude or ChatGPT account. Copy the address below, then follow the steps for your AI assistant.

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
Click +, then Add custom connector.
Enter SoloDesk as the name, paste the connector address https://app.solodesk.ch/api/mcp and click Continue.
Pick Sign in now and keep Use Claude’s published identity. Click Add.
Sign in to SoloDesk (see below).
In a new chat, click +, then Connectors, and switch SoloDesk on.
Claude Free lets you add one custom connector. In Claude Team or Enterprise, a workspace owner adds SoloDesk once, then each person clicks Connect. Once it’s set up, you can use it in the Claude mobile app too.
chatgpt.com in the browser, every plan
Open chatgpt.com/plugins.
Click Add, then Add custom MCP server.
Enter SoloDesk as the name and paste the connector address https://app.solodesk.ch/api/mcp into Server URL.
If ChatGPT asks how to sign in, pick OAuth and leave the client ID and secret empty.
Save, then sign in to SoloDesk (see below).
In a new chat, type @, pick SoloDesk and ask away.
No developer mode needed. On ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, your workspace admin may first have to allow custom connectors.
Sign-in opens in a new window on SoloDesk’s own page. The assistant never sees your password.

With email and password, with Google, or with a sign-in link sent by email.

Read only: ask questions, read documents, upload files and answer SoloDesk’s questions with a tap.
Full access: everything in Read only, plus creating and editing quotes and draft invoices, deleting drafts, and sending quotes, invoices and payment reminders. Downloading an invoice also books it.

Security
The AI assistant only prepares the work, and you decide what happens.
Sign-in opens in a new window on SoloDesk’s own page. ChatGPT and Claude receive an access token after you authorise them. They never see your password or your sign-in method.
Quotes, invoices and payment reminders appear as drafts for you to review. Before anything is sent, you see the amount, the recipient and the document exactly as it will arrive, and nothing goes out until you tap Confirm.
SoloDesk builds each Confirm card from its own records, never from the chat, so nothing said in a conversation can redirect an invoice. Each card works once and expires after 15 minutes, and if the invoice has been paid in the meantime, nothing is sent. Every change made from the chat is also logged in SoloDesk as made from Claude or ChatGPT.
If you don’t want to use the SoloDesk connector any more, remove it in ChatGPT or Claude. To end every connection from SoloDesk’s side, change your password or sign out everywhere, and all connections stop within an hour.
